# Slippy IR pads...

Recently obtained the Hideyoshi which comes equipped with IR pads. I noticed my throws weren’t getting much spin out of it when I saw that the pads it came with had an oily feel to it, not getting a nice clean snappy bind. I made the executive decision to take them out and put in some flowable.

Is it normal for the IR pads to be slippy like that? It felt like there was no grip at all when I ran my finger across it and even the string had no grip on it.
