Not completely lost. There are still some really great modders actively modding. It does feel like a dying art though. I know what you mean. It would be sick if it made a come back but yoyos just don’t suck like they used to. Haha. Not much incentive for most people when they can just get a throw that already plays well. Freehands are good for modding. Might be better to go with a freehand one though. Much easier to get and much more affordable. Honestly, butterfly XT is a fun and easy Yoyo to mod. There are a lot of different things you can do to them with minimal tools. Also, $6 at target means you can get a bunch to experiment with and not have to worry about messing up your only Yoyo. I would start with something like that. ---

Honestly a good one to mod is either a butterfly or butterfly xt just cause the plastic is pretty easy to mess with and not crack the YoYo or whatever Ahh Seth beat me too it ---

“Butterfly XT” could be fun… I found a snoopy butterfly xt on ebay, maybe I can use the caps on that. Lol Trouble is, my local stores only carry imperials… and even those are rare to find. 😕 Edit: looks like someone bought the snoopy butterfly. 🥲 ---

Id say go for it, i reccomend fh1 instead of fhz since they are easy to come by. I have a bunch i need to work on… i have a new masking technique to try out, just stalling because its still gonna be tedious work. ---
