# Shutter vs recog

how is recognition better than the shutter? (wider, better spin time, etc) cuz I really love the shape of the shutter. or is shutter just overrated

Well, I own a Shutter and not a Recog…

So obviously the Recog is better.

You know, grass is always greener and what not.

I would prefer a recog to a shutter, but would also take a shutter wa over a recog. The recog has more power over a shutter, which also translates to it being more stable. These are the key differences that come to mind. In terms of personal preference, I enjoy the recog being wider and tighter binds.

I have a Recognition and like it way more than my two Shutters (gave away and sold). I love my Recognition but the Shutter never did much for me. I think it all depends on preference though. They are not really very similar yoyos so comparing them is not really good in my opinion anyway.
