# SGNL, SUDO, and wave by Static Co! - Throwback Releases from our Vault!

**Static Co YoYos Throwback Releases!**
Happy Throwback Thursday! This week we did some extra digging and found a few unreleased gems from our vault (thanks, COVID!).

The [SGNL](https://shop.yoyoexpert.com/collections/new-releases/products/sgnl-yoyo-by-static?variant=45506241233086) was Static Co’s first release back in 2020. It went through several prototype stages before becoming the debut model that introduced the brand in style. Even though it first dropped five years ago, it’s a great reminder of how much yo-yo design has evolved. The [SGNL](https://shop.yoyoexpert.com/collections/new-releases/products/sgnl-yoyo-by-static?variant=45506241233086) captures the feel of the “mid-school” trick era with its compact size and unique presence on the string. It may be smaller than most modern throws, but it plays fast and very smooth on the string!

We’ve sold this one before, but it’s back with more colors to choose from. This is the signature yo-yo of Brian Cosky, who ranked in the world’s top five for 1A back in 2006. I’m glad the online yo-yo community gravitates mainly towards stuff like organics, slim lines and 2000s throwback yo-yos because it diverts the attention away from most of the yo-yos I want.
that being said when I occasionally do want a cool slimline yo-yo it does become an issue lol

The fact that I even saw an IN STOCK in the listing says that they lasted a while. At least 30 seconds longer than expected.

I knew the old waves were gonna drop but had no idea about the sudos! Those have been in the YYE vault for 4 years or so haha. Even I got excited and threw one in my cart, but decided to let someone else pick it up. I said “if there’s any left after an hour it’s fair game”, but they sold out in ~40 mins.

I missed the Sudo but was able to snag a Wave, and it’s a solid player! So much fun, definitely a sleeper throw for me. Glad there were some scrounged up from the back again!
