how do you know when the response on your yoyo is worn down?

Normally binds won’t feel as tight or the yoyo may just not come up at all no matter how much string you put into the gap. with a responsive yoyo, the yoyo may just not come up at all. also some response you can just see the response is faded or there are little pieces taken out of it.

Generally pads last for between 1-3 months depending on how much the yo-yo is used and if lube gets on them, etc. A lot if times they fall out once worn out, etc. But if the Yo-Yo isn’t coming back easily with a bind that’s always a good sign it’s time to replace.
