# Reply indicator on forum replies?

For some reason, I can no longer reply to individual comments on forum threads. This holds true for both my Discourse app on my iPhone and Chrome on my laptop.

I’ll try it now! So it always brings me to the text box and says I’m replying to you. Let’s see if it actually works.

You don’t see that you replied to them but everyone else sees it. In other words, everything is working like it is supposed to be.

Replies that are **directly under the post they are replying to** suppress the reply metadata by default, otherwise it gets incredibly noisy visually.
