# Remove plastic hubs from Magic N9

I have one of these and I find with the hub on it is incredibly loud and I never use them. I find myself not using the yoyo because of them. I’d like to remove, but not destroy them. Has anyone successfully removed these before?

Thread a yoyo string under the caps. Wrap, pull.

I’ve done this to mine so I speak from experience.

(I did put them back on too!)

I’ve found them to be ridiculously tight; what I did was the general string method, but I used two string so I could apply even force on both sides. It takes a lot of force.

I did it by reading one side at a time. It came off relatively easy.
