Hello Everyone!
This is Colin Beckford.
Today, I created a Recess Buyer’s Guide.
This will help you choose what Recess Yo-Yo is best for your play style.

First Base
MSRP- 20 USD
Specs-
Material- Plastic
Pad Size- 19 mm
Diameter- 57 mm
Width- 45 mm
Weight- 65 grams
Bearing- Grooved
How does it play?
Best quality for price
Pros-
Lighter weight provides more capability for faster play and laceration-style tricks,
flat hub helps tremendously with landing finger spins,
wider dimensions aid in eliminating the possibility of snag,
affordable price.
Cons-
Lighter weight may be a disadvantage to some in terms of control,
finish on material does not make grinds (not including finger spins) easy.
Overall- 8/10

Joyride
MSRP- 50 USD
Specs
Material- 6065 Aluminum
Pad Size- 19 mm
Diameter- 56 mm
Width- 44 mm
Weight- 66 grams
Bearing- Grooved
How does it play?
Best stability/power
Pros-
Finish is great for grinds,
the hub provides a perfect spot for finger spins,
weight dimensions create a very solid feel,
large rim provides a great feel for horizontal.
Cons-
Not as easy as other Recess models for speed play,
small amount of kickback.
Overall- 9/10

Weekend
MSRP- 120 USD
Specs
Material- 7075 Aluminum with Stainless Steel Rings (on rim)
Pad Size- 19 mm
Diameter- 54.5 mm
Width- 42 mm
Weight- 65 grams
Bearing- Grooved
How does it play?
Best quality/speed overall
Pros-
Lighter weight provides a great sense of speed,
stainless steel rings help with stability and power,
the hub provides a perfect spot for finger spins,
finish on the yoyo is ideal for grinds,
smaller diameter is great for types of tricks such as technical yoyoing and chopsticks.
Cons-
Light weight may be too difficult to control,
small diameter may not be favorable for some people,
smaller gap may enable a higher probability of snag.
Overall- 9.5/10
