# Rebellion Acro or OD Vanguard for beginner

Hi, I just wanted to see what people’s opinion were between the Acro and the Vanguard for someone who is just getting back into yoyoing.

As a person who owns both yoyos, I prefer the Vanguard over the Acro because it’s much more stable and easier to work with, imo. Both are pretty comfy throws and I enjoy the O-shape of the Acro and the H-shape rimmed weight of the Vanguard, but personally, I’d choose the Vanguard. (Not to mention it has a grind surface and costs less)

I have the Vanguard and the Qilin wanted to try a more v Shape. The Vanguard has been great to learn on it is super smooth. I have only had the Qilin for a day so not as much experience with it, but obviously its lighter and a totally different shape than the Vanguard.
