The RATs are still meeting the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Science Safari in Cary, NC, from 4 to 6. Yoyologists, top throwers and jugglers welcome. Kendama players too I suppose :wink: ---

Good to know! Whats the age range of people that join? My son (11)is enthusiastic about yoyos and is getting quite advanced (speed/rail combos, developing a competitive routine) . He’s looking for a community and we’ll try to join the meetup in Feb. ---

Everyone is welcome. The age trend, oddly enough tends to skew to the older side, like college and above. We do get young people in sometimes though, and they usually learn something or teach us something. It’s a very loose knit group, we don’t have any real club structure or goals or requirements… expectations, organization. Actually I would say it’s a pretty sorry club except for the fact we have been meeting for quite a few years and it’s a fun place to get together and throw yo-yos and other skill toys 🙂. There is also a wide range of skills with different yo-yo styles, spin tops, kendama, and juggling. ---

Do yall still meet? Just ordered my first Yoyo since the 2000’s!!! So absolutely a beginner but would be cool to meet some other people and learn some stuff. ---

Yes we do, the 3rd Saturday of every month. Except this December, the store is too busy around Christmas, but we will be there in January, come on down! ---

Yup. Yeah they have some yo-yos and a couple tops, but nothing super exciting. You will see a large variety of stuff that the players bring in, then if you get inspired you can get the good stuff from YYE. ---

I got too inspired/excited watching YouTube and have a speedholic xx, shooting star, and a Wilder 😳 on the way already, we’ll call it an early Christmas. But realizing I probably need to pick up a responsive to get started, and i could get started learning this weekend if I pick one up locally. ---

Yes, 3rd Saturday every month unless a holiday interfers. 4 to 6 at Cary Science Safari. Don’t know of any other club, I have been doing this one for around 10 years. Next month may be a low turnout depending on how many folks go to the Virginia State yo-yo contest.
