Hi. Can someone show me a pic of where excatly you tape a top? Do you need to do it to a trompo grande and a bearing king? What type of surface should I practice over?

The Spintastic Trompo Grande come pre-taped. The Bearing King does not come pre-taped. Here is a photo of a Duncan Bearing King which is taped. Tape it on the seam where the cap meets the body. I use 3/8" electrical tape. Make sure your bearing is well seated inside the top prior to taping. Sometimes the BK’s need a little push/coaxing.
I suggest you practice over carpet, or outdoors on grass, until you are very confident in landing a boomerang.

Do people generally fail to get a top to stand up when there beginning?

yes. when i first started it would always land on its side. for some reason it helps if you keep your arm straight and swing it only at the shoulder.

How do i get the tip of my bearing king? I want to put the fixed tip on cause i got a trompo bearing instead of a trompo grande

no just use a fixed tip pretty sure
