# Question on the Order of Contests

I was wondering, why are MA states after NER, and why is Worlds before Nationals?? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?? or not?

I don’t know about MA states. But I’m guessing the winners of nationals get better seeds in worlds? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

It is all in the scheduling. Sometimes, the regional contests are held before state contests.

Uh, Worlds takes place BEFORE Nationals.

my mistake, i edited my post. “Why is worlds before Nationals,” I meant to say??

I think it will take a bit to get things organized globally. Plus, it’s hard to break old habits. I don’t see US Nationals changing from the first weekend in October
