This is the oil I used to use to oil the trimmer of my shaving machine which just died on me. Would you think that it could be used as a lubricant for bearings. (Like the sewing machine oil does). Unfortunately there is no ingredient list printed on the bottle). Depends how thin it is? I’m assuming it’s fairly thick so it can stick between the plates and last a while. You would likely need to thin it out; experiment using different kinds of solvents to see what works best. Petroleum based I would assume naphtha or lighter fluid would work. Not sure which ratio would be ideal but I’m thinking start 1:1 and go from there ---

Nah. I am a lube guy. If you do it correctly, bearing is smooth as butter and 100% unresponsive. Sorry but not sorry 😛 ---

Trimmer lube like that is typically considered machine oil and is pretty thin. ---

I’ve tried it while in a pinch. Not ideal
