# Question for filming a throw video

So I want to make some tutorials and trick videos, but I can’t seem to make the string visible. I’m using a Flip HD camcorder and I’m using lime green string. Any help?

If you are inside then the lighting can be a problem so try going outside when it is sunny or you have some bright light to hit the string. That is what I did for my flip. (hd as well)

Try a black background. If you record from above, the string shows up really well. It almost glows over the street on a sunny day.
