# Question about certain yoyo's

I’ve noticed in the nine dragons yoyo they have a plastic shell that makes the yoyo be able to grab by its hand and its keeps spinning, what is it called? Do they sell the plastic shell for yoyos separately? And are there any alternative yoyos when it comes doing the AND trick

i think i saw replacement shells but it is specific to the model. you can’t just encase any yoyo and turn it into that type unfortunately

There are a few mods for a few very specific models that folks have worked out but yeah unless it’s designed to be like the nine dragons and take shells it’s not gonna take shells usually

There are other yoyos that have a similar idea. The Photon Spirit by Auldey is one.

As well as the Metal Max Tornado. Which is a little harder to find now. But they sold for cheap on BST a few years back.
