# Preferred string length poll

I will admit that I have no idea. Yes, I am new at this, but so far the string that comes with yoyos seems to be cut for someone who is 5’ 9 1/2".

Slack tricks don’t have as much breathing room with a “standard length” string - that’s why I tend to go longer as slack tricks are my favorite

Looks in between stomach and bb to me.  
Just like my usual. So much more control from that string length

Reviving this thread from the dead to say thanks. I was struggling with some intermediate stuff (Maximum Overdrive) and I went to a longer string because of this thread (Stomach) and I’m now making progress immediately, so cheers guys. Whatever you’re all up to 7 years later 🙂

I’ll say “At my stomach,” but that’s not a good indicator. I have short legs and a very long torso. I’d say I play around 110-115cm.
