# Polishing

How would i go about polishing my yoyo?

I know i would need sand paper and polish, but what grit sandpaper, and what type of polish?

If all you want to do is shine it up, just use metal polish.

If you’re trying to change the finish, including to make it mirrored, then you’ll need abrasives such as sandpaper. What grits depends on the desired final product, as you may need several.

For mirror polish I use; 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, metal polish. You want to make make sure you wet sand, otherwise you may get “grooves.”
