# Platinum or Gold NSK DS Bearing?

So I’m going to get a new NSK DS Bearing, and I don’t know which type to pick. I know that gold plated ones have insane spin times but once the gold plating wears off, it decreases the performance of the bearing, but what about the platinum? Is it really platinum or are they just saying that? Does the platinum plating wear down too?
