# Plastic Yoyo Design Query

Hello Friends, have a query. We are designing a plastic yoyo and presently the distance between the two response pads is around 2.5mm. We are looking to reduce this gap to around 2.00 mm, however now unable to understand how do we reduce this gap.

Should we deepen the point where the response bearing sits, will that help ? Looking for advice and suggestion here

You can lower the bearing seat or bring the response up. Commonly you reduce the bearing seat highed.

I marked the seat part green. If you reduce height here you will end with a more narrow gap.

If you have not enough material there you can also bring the rest up which is marked green in this next pic.
