# Plastic color stains from counterweight hitting yoyo

Hello everyone, I just started trying counterweight and I noticed my plastic yoyo gets a bunch of stains from the counterweight’s paint if I hit it while its spinning. Is there any easy way to remove them or do I just have to deal with that when playing with counterweights ?

If it’s metal then solvent commonly used to clean bearings could do the job, plastic is risky, certain types of plastic will melt with certain solvent, but I suppose alcohol is safe.
