I believe you are talking about the YYF Roll Model, and I agree, it is a really fun throw that gets not much attention. It is a little on the small side, and not super stable, but I really like them, I have a few. ---

I actually know nothing about Loopers myself, bit I can say that I have been having maybe a bit TOO much fun (for how 1A oriented I am) with the Duncan speed beetle. ---

YYF 720s are great bearing loopers and Duncan Proyos are awesome fixed axle loopers. These are both at the YYE store. ---

I have a Mythril Gravitas and a Flux and I really like them both. Very impressed with these throws. I’ve been curious about the Monolith, but I’m trying to discern why I should bother if I already have a Gravitas and a Flux, y’know? But to answer the original question, I’d have to point to the **One Drop VTWO**. In my view the VTWO is the perfect non-organic monometal. It has a competition-oriented but not overly-aggressive V shape. It pushes a lot of weight to the rim making it extremely stable and long spinning. It hits the sweet spot in terms of size and weight, and in particular it doesn’t fall prey to the dubious widening trend we’re seeing these days. And last but not least, it is a One Drop, which means it enjoys the benefit of exceptional machining and fantastic response pads. ---

I bought the Gravitas recently and was surprised at how much I like it, it’s kind of hard to put down. I’m thinking about picking up the Flux now and was wondering how they compare. You said you like them both, but do you find yourself reaching more for one over the other. ---

I find myself reaching for the Gravitas more, but only because my skills are not solid enough to make the most of purely organic-shaped yoyos (like the Flux). ---

I have a Monocle, Gravitas and Flux. The Gravitas is solid, stable and powerful, as you know. Quite correct. I apologize, I’m not sure why I kept saying Role Play in that post, but it seems familiar. I don’t know if that was another name for that yoyo or if I just had the wrong name in mind when I typed that up. I even wondered if it would play better if you removed those big plastic caps, but I didn’t want to mess the ano up to find out and I thought it might take too much off the weight of it. ---

I just got a second Flux, if that gives you an indication of how great I think it is. If you like the qualities I described, there’s nothing even close from what I’ve tried. Brian Low, the owner of Mythril, announced that he’s closing up shop on the Facebook BST. Very classy farewell message. ---

Those will be around and made for a long time. Compare with YYWS (very limited releases) or Mythril (RIP). Plenty of sleeping can be done on classic one drops… ---
