# painting a yo-yo

I’m just curious if putting a thin coat of paint on a yo-yo would throw off its performance or balance…I’ve been thinking about putting an orange color on mine but am not sure if it’d be harmless to the way the yo-yo will act…is there any certain way to do it or does it not matter?
