Oh of course I don’t discount the fact that everyone’s experiences will differ from the next and as you said, biased and heavily opinion based posts are guaranteed in this case. My main point was the last sentence in the Boss paragraph - it didn’t really get a whole lot of sustained hype so I’m not sure how it could be considered overrated. If some people chose to express disappointment, I could sure see that, but I usually associate the word “overrated” to apply to products that are heavily hyped with little fact-based reasoning, which I don’t usually see applying to the Boss.

I love my northstar, I don’t think it is at all overrated. Outplays all my metals but whatever. I absolutely hate protostars though.

I think this hating fad is OVERrated…

totally, i heard that the bape had vibe due to axle problems, well that was only fixed because their riding on onedrop’s side effect idea.

Well if you’ve never actually seen one, I’ll let you know that Anti Yos don’t have bearing seats the way that we’re used to – the mega-oversized axle is the bearing seat. Considering that, the vibe that they had comes as no surprise. I know it’s possible to tune them to at least a tolerable level, and I know that they were put out a long time ago, but if something like that were released in today’s market it’d be laughed into hiding and permanently off the scene.

I personally found my Hspin Icon to be terrible. It was wobbly and tug-responsive right out of the box. Cleaning the bearing didn’t help, either. For the price, stick with a Dv888. Seriously.

I feel like there is a lot of hate and negativity towards yyf. i feel like hating on them is over hyped, i know there are yyf that are very good overhyped or not, one being the skyline. just my 2 cents
