# One hand rejection and alternative eli hops

I have problem with one hand rejection and alternative eli hops. I just can’t figure out what to do! Please help me! Thanks!

For one handed rejection put your thumb in front of the string and push the yoyo foward so the string comes out from under the gap. Dont do anything with your thumb it just sits in front of the string. Use the momentum of the initial rejection to swing the slack around and catch. Also check out mrmatio’s video.

For alternative eli hops shorten your string a ton and try it again.

Are there specific videos of these tricks you are referring to OP?

It usually helps if people can see exactly what you are trying to do.

The tuts are on youtube, going by the names he listed, but they are from a foreign yo place.

I see the Eli Hops:

That’s my bad buddy. The one hand rejection is called rejection whip.
