That… purple… or whatever you call it… is amazing. With all that shininess, it looks like it won’t be much of a grinder, but that seems to work OK for YYR and their range of shiny yoyos.

I doubt it because those rings look like Nickel to me.

I seem to recall them saying it was polished, at least for the previous Format C proto. Whether that means machined and polished or masked during Ano (one HECK of a masking job… seems doubtful!) I’m not sure about.

That stripe is machined after anodizing. What you are seeing is the raw aluminum being exposed.

No, what we are seeing is 60 some odd grams of purple win… with an exposed aluminum cut. 🙂
