Anodized rings are getting picked up this week. Once they arrive into the shop, we will be working overtime to get them out and into your hands!

But what about the CHIK 88$ on the june 21st what not to say it look great, but where are the specs.

Yep, it’s just outside the One Drop shop. Paul Dang is the photographer. He does a great job.

Do you plan on using different weight rings, like titanium or brass?
Does the process of installing different weight rings cost a lot more other than materials?
After gaining this experience with weight rings do you think you’ll get into applying weight rings to aluminum throws?

Not likely we’ll use other materials for the weight rings. If we did the process of installing would be the same though. There is not reason to use weight rings on aluminum yoyos because aluminum weighs enough that you can just incorporate it all into the design. We felt plastic needed the weight rings in order to get the proper weight distribution and total weight so the yoyo would play well enough.

Thanks for the answer. That’s what I thought. I was just curious why some companies use weight rings on their aluminum yoyos when they could just incorporate it all into the design. Some examples YoyoJam (Phenom and others), C3 (Berserker), YoyoOffice (Eager). Apparently it’s all cosmetics.

Other companies might have a different opinion on that. Just from our perspective there aren’t enough gains in it to justify the added difficulty in making it balanced - its hard enough as it is to make balanced yoyos on a consistent basis.

Is it safe to say we will see a different sized weight ring in the future to offer a couple more or less grams?
