Sorry to be the bringer of reality, but right now we don’t have a reliable way of doing nickel plating. It adds a really thick layer so the chance of vibe goes up as well as the chance of messing up the bearing post. ---

I doubt One Drop would ever do ‘cool things’ at the cost of basic yoyo functionality like ‘being able to insert & remove the bearing’. Having those floating around on the Secondary Market (oh look a colourway name) would be bad for their reputation too. Who really wants to buy a semi-functional gimmick yoyo? Maybe they don’t give us what we want but they give us what we need (ahem engravings ahem) ---
