31 here. Been modern throwing for a few years, although I’ve loved yoyos since I was a kid. I just never knew there was more to life than Duncan Imperials, Butterflies, and transaxels.

Just turned 40! I organized and participated in an “Old Folks who Can Sort of Throw Battle” mid-2013. Had a great response to it. Check it out, and all y’all “old folks” should join in the 2014 edition when it comes along. :wink:

I’m 29, I’ll be 30 in April. I started throwing back in 2004 and I took a break from 2006 to 2011 and have been throwing since, with a 4-5 month break in between the last half of last year.

I don’t see how you can be a kid and enjoy Yo-Yoing. There are too many video games nowadays. I’m 15. and I stumbled across the love of Yo-Yoing by accident when I got a Duncan Ignite Yo-Yo- at a Cracker Barrel 3 years ago. I had found a new friend, and I was using my Grind Machine… He asked what it was and I told him it was a Yo-Yo, and he still didn’t know what I was talking about. Other than me, of course, kids are poisoned these days!

45 in March and completely obsessed with yoyos. It’s been fun for the last couple years. I want in on the “old guys that can throw (sort of)” contest again. I don’t expect to win, but it was great motivation to work on stringing tricks together.
