mine has an incredibly tiny gap, and no pads or starburst.

it will work fine, but i usually recomend the bigyo for beginners. the larger catch area will help get your first toss and catch. it still is really hard to do in the beginning on a bigyo, and it is only harder on a fiesta or equinox. it is still possible, it is just harder. i do also consider the bigyo’s size a handicap which i got too used to, so when i moved on, i had to relearn a lot. it should be fine though.

questiong: is the rextreme as easy to catch as a bigyo? it looks a lot easier than an equinox
