You know where you whip the string while twisting your throwhand toward you. When you do the twisting movement, pull upwards, so the slack of string twists too.
Don;t whip too high, or else the yoyo can;t catch the twisting slack.
Aim your twisted slack with your throwhand into the gap of the yoyo.

When you flip your hand around the string, the string will magically whip over the top half of the string and then you whip the right string into the gap. Its easier if you go from the side.
