Hey guys! I’ve been throwing for a couple years, and I’ve been wanting to go and participate in some contests… But watching the people throw is a little intimidating!! They are so good!! But my question was, should I focus and develop my freestyle, or should I start off with ladder contests?! Thanks in advance!!! ---

Maybe hit a couple of contests for the ladder. It will help build your ability to yoyo in front of a crowd. Overcoming that is a big thing for a lot of people. ---

I have found that I do better on a freestyle. Doing tricks on demand has not always been my strong suite. ---

We have this intermediate division for every contest at my place. My way of overcoming stage fright? Stand in the middle of a mall and start yoyoing. 😃
