# New Bi-Metal Yo-Yo – The Top Yo Neptune!

Top Yo is a company based out of China making some pretty cool new designs, and once we threw their latest bi-metal model we knew we had to have it! This is the Neptune!

Top Yo avoided the straight v-shape bi-metal design and chose a more organic H profile for the Neptune. The profile gives it a more comfortable feel in hand and a really fun feel in play without losing that stable long spinning bi-metal performance you’re looking for.

The Neptune has a nice blasted finish and the ideal cup for fingerpsins, but the most creative part of the Neptune is the POM inserts that create the step around the response pads. This clever smooth plastic insert keeps the string away from the blasted finish of the yo-yo body which reduces wear on the string, reduces snags in horizontal play, and provides for a longer smoother spin time!

Shape is closer to that of a Recess Weekend or the YYF '16 Superstar.
Interesting design choice to use the plasic inserts at the response pads.

The rainfly is $70 I think… I don’t know if that is considered budget to you. Also magic yoyo is coming out with one that I think will be in the $50-$65 range.

Looks real clean… I don’t know why YYJ never ventured to make their “high end” bi-metals look… well… high end. They have some relatively expensive bi-metals but they always failed to achieve the look that Top Yo has gotten here, a majority of their expensive bi metals just look a little too low end for me. Just my opinion. For example, if you gave me $120 and told me I could either spend it on this or a YYJ Next Level, you bet I’ll be getting the Top Yo Neptune. I’m sure there are those who disagree with me though, and I’m fully aware of that, I’m not looking to start a debate or anything, just giving my opinion.

Does the yoyo come with 2 bearings? Or is it shipped with the bearing out of the yoyo?

The original run released in China came with a full ceramic bearing

It comes with 2 bearings.

That’s correct. They came with a ceramic concave bearing which we cannot sell in the USA unless it is licensed by Dif-e-yo. They opted to use stainless steel grooved bearings instead of licensing the concave bearings.
