# New bearing breaking in?

So I recently got a new bonfire.  
and the bearing became very loud and responsive  
I put in about half a drop of bearing lube and it only made things worse.  
am I doing something wrong?

Hey, I recently got a Chief and had the same problem as you. People said that it is common, and u have to play it for a few hours to make it unresponsive again. However, I felt something was caught inside the bearing so I swapped it out. Instead of swapping the bearing, u can clean it.

Before you go through cleaning try just blowing it out with some canned air. Not like up close or spin it way up too speed, just hold the can a foot or more from the bearing and give it a good shot on both sides.
