I need help with hand starting an unresponsive yoyo. I’ve tried to do binds after getting it to spin, but the yoyo won’t catch the string. Any suggestions? ---

try a harder spin. Push down on the yoyo harder while spinning it. This should help the yoyo to spin faster, thus making the bind quicker, and grippier. Are you using a backspin bind? J. 🙂 ---

Never mind. I’ve figured out what I was doing wrong. I just needed to pull up with my throw hand more while binding. And thanks for the tip! It made it bind more easily. ---

i advise a brain twister bind or snap start instead cause when you snapstart it is revolving the normal direction also backwards bind or braintwister bind work well cause its not revolving the normal direction and wont catch as well gets unwound with a normal bind cause of direction the yoyo is spinning ---

You may want to check the date of the post you are replying to. The post before yours is dated May 31, 2009. I know you are a bit new to the forum so it’s no big deal just something to watch out for. Glad you’re here! (Might want to find a newer thread though)
