# Need help with DM

To answer the original question, lube the bearing, replace the string, and tighten the gap.

buy yyj thick lube! its what i use. just put some on the o-ring.

Putting the oil on the o-ring is not what you want to do. The oil needs to go into the [bearing](http://yoyowiki.org/wiki/Ball_Bearings) and nothing else.

oiling the oring will not make it more responsive, if anything it will make it slightly less responsive, oiling the o ring will inturn impregnate the string with oil which can deteriorate the string leading to a string snapping an you Dark Magic flying away destroying itself as it smashes into the ground at a million mph

I suggest double-wrapping the string around the bearings.
