so basically i can fingerspin a little on my shortcut, but after like 3 secs it spins off of my finger. can som1 pls give me tips on fingerspinning on a flat surface? ---

I wouldn’t expect much more than a few seconds out of that cup design. You can try using a side arm breakaway throw to get more power. Shoot for a 45 degree angle instead of letting the yoyo get flat. You should be able to land it at an angle then the yoyo will level out while you fingerspin. Once it’s level it’ll start to wobble, this is when you wanna bind. ---

Well a problem my friend would run into is his hand was too close to the finger spin and the string would wrap around his finger
