# Mystery of the bearing

Clean in mineral spirits for 10 minutes. Spin excess spirits off by spinning bearing on paintbrush. let dry on paper towel for 5-10 minutes. Clean using paper cleaning method until super clean. Terrapin X Dry play treat the bearing. Re-shield or don’t, pop back into yoyo, throw a few times, and bam. Likewise, no problems after cleaning and light lube. I swish the bearing in lighter fluid, blow it out w/compressed air. A small amount of brain lube, blow it off w/compressed air.

Ummm, it’s been fairly well established that ABEC ratings really have no effect on how these work in a yoyo.
