# MR85 bearing in a Butterfly

Made this butterfly screw apart and use a MR85 bearing. The bearing is barely bigger than the axle.

Did you have to mod the spacer or are there stock spacers around that fit MR85s?

There are no spacers in this mod. Took the stock butterfly axle cut it in half then center drilled and tapped for threads and then cut that to be the bearing seat.

This makes so much sense! How does it play?

Also, I feel like if you cut it for RBC pads instead of starburst, you’d have one mean modern responsive machine.

I may try that out but I’m fond of my A bearing Butterfly with just a starburst so giving this a try before I remove it and cut for pads.
