Weirdly enough it’s probably the Akita for me. It’s not my favorite yoyo, it’s not even my favorite bimetal, but it’s just good and reliable. It’s super comfortable and not exhausting to play with, so whenever I just want to play for several hours straight the Akita is what I reach for the most.
I don’t pick it up every day, but with the amount of extended practice sessions I’ll have on it, I definitely think it’s my most played in terms of hours.

thats a bummer. my experience with the bearing in the IQ is that its shockingly smooth and quiet. its also the only bearing ive ever had thats not gone noisey, crunchy or needed cleaning since i’ve owned it lol. to be frank, ive been so impressed with this bearing i’ve been meaning to ask @yyfben2.deactivated if the bearing in the IQ is just their standard center trac, because if so i’m about to buy 5 to have on hand lol

a lot of the yoyos in my list are ralso not my favorite yoyo, but get a ton of play time. i wonder what it is that prevents us from thinking the yoyos we play the most are our favorites lol

At least in my case I think it’s because I’m picking up the Akita with a specific intent when I throw. It’s not something I’m going to pick up if I only feel like throwing for 5-10 minutes, being a bimetal makes it something I’m not really in love with treating like an EDC and having it passively pick up dings, and if want pure performance there’s things I’m going to reach for instead. I pick up the Akita when I know I want to have a really long session practicing something, and if I’m going to do something else while throwing then I’ll grab something else.
Although maybe it is my favorite yoyo subconsciously, and I’m just trying to cope and come up with an excuse for why it isn’t LOL.

your reasons have convinced me at least, i had a lot of the same thoughts when realizing my most played yoyos arent necessarily my favorites (with few exceptions)
