Like don’t make it your aim to swing the yoyo around both hands and stop at 6 o’clock where the yoyo starts binding. Make it your conscious aim to swing past that point until maybe as much as 3 o’clock

Nice explanation Min.

They show exactly that on the YYT superflow video. He even intentionally makes it bind so you can see what he’s talking about. He has several tips to prevent it from binding.

I was very excited to finally land this on the train. No one that saw me land it appreciated… they probably thought i was about to ask for money! I certainly felt like i deserved a pay day… i couldn’t wait…10 min inbetween patients i had ti attempt a video.  
I would have never attempted this with out the weekly challenge. THANK YOU!

I can yoyo again!  
Well kind of. But not really! \>.\<’

Hit 2 more Duck Ponds with the Gyros again today. But again, it took me several swings/attempts to land it in the chopstick mount…so they don’t really count.  
But at least it’s good practice and a tiny bit of progress.

Also landed a couple of combos I’m working on…and I came up with a new cool combo involving a Kamikaze (didn’t land it though).

Superflow is making me mad lol \>,\<"

…I’m having issues landing on the string with the chopstick mount…the string isn’t far enough down my fingers for the yo to land on it…instead the yo falls in front of the string. Not sure if that makes sense.  
I keep trying to move the string up on my middle finger…but it’s proving to be a big issue for me atm.  
I’m going to watch a bunch of videos to see if I can figure this out.

Anyhow…just a small update.

Finally had a chance to start working on this week’s trick. I suck at chopsticks, but at least I’ve done them before, so I was able to get to the gyro flop, which I keep having trouble with. I did manage to land it a few times, but I have no idea what I did differently. I just hope I have time to work on it more this week.

Finally got a chance to work on Mexican Duck Pond tonight. Still a bit awkward getting into the chopsticks, but that’s because I don’t do very much chopsticks stuff, so I’m loving working on this new and unfamiliar movement. Then, I kept having a problem where my strings were tangled every time after doing the flop. Watched the tutorial more closely and realized I was flopping in the wrong direction lol. So, if you’re ending up with tangled strings after the flop, make sure you are flopping towards your body, not away from it. Will probably record tomorrow night or something when I got it a bit smoother.

If you pull the correct string out of the mess after flopping the wrong way, you end up in a weird GT thing, which is sort of cool.

Most of the week I was 50-50 flopping the wrong direction. The crossed strings were driving me crazy.
