I tried a half bearing and am generally a fan, but with the super high walls I preferred it with a flat full size bearing. I have a jar of Vaseline that I’ve been using for like 5 years as thick lube. Have to reapply every few days or so and you have to lead your tug just a bit more for sure, but I like the extra longer/more difficult string trick capability in this case. I was also playing with thick nylon string so that helped too. Love how there is an nearly infinite number of ways and weights you play this setup with different bearings, strings, and infill settings. Mod44 is wild! ---
