# Me with yet another question about a trick I should know already

Why does my yoyo respond when I hit the Magic Drop (specifically as soon as I roll the yoyo over my hand)? How do I stop it from doing so? I tried asking politely but it refused

I still can’t hit magic drop. I can do more complex rejection tricks but can’t seem to get magic drop down

Both of these are helpful. It’s also notable that rejections are easier with higher walled yo-yos.

It rejects if there is too much slack. Well I think that’s it but I’m not exactly sure. I do know that when I started focusing on keeping my throw hand perfectly still and the string taught, I started to hit them. Now it feels normal but I remember the stillness feeling really weird at first. I love magic drop though this was the first trick that took me way too long to learn good luck!
