Blasts can in fact embed little pieces of media into the aluminum. The amount is minimal, unintentional and usually undesirable. I’ve encountered this in the past when it interferes with the anodizing process. Overall though, blasting is primarily a removal process that is essentially the same thing as satining, it just imparts a slightly different texture to the aluminum. ---

So right. Cleaning is key to any type of media that will be added later. Scrubbing and copious amounts of water followed by a thorough degrease is key. How many times I have felt its clean only to wipe it with a white rag and see the remnants of a blast. ---

That N12 looks amazing! I never liked the ano they had on MYY’s. it looks artificial. I like the blast better!
