Since these are just blasted and dont get clear anoed or any other ano does the blast wear away after time and can the yoyo oxidize? ---

I recommend an ano of some sort be it clear or better yet a color. I can’t comment for other blasts and how they hold up. I use a very fine bead, finer than most know exists, and it will get dirty. Easy enough to clean though. A fingernail can leave a mark and that’s not so easy to remove unless you can bead blast. Safe easy way to strip for $15 and leaves cash in your pocket for ano work. ---

Do you do blasting jobs on their own, without a powder coat? If so, how much would that run a fellow? ---

I know that blasting pits the surface of the yoyo, but I always thought a thin layer of blast media was added. Like on soda blasts and such. ---

Any removal of surface material by sanding, blasting of any method or anything else is simply removal. You’d never be able to paint, ano or powder over it if it was deposited. ---

Ya learn something new every day :wink: I was always under the impression blasts added something. Edit: and maybe I should clarify. I knew that blasting removed the anodization, but I thought small particles adhered to the aluminum. Like on Josh’s Galaxy Blasts - there’s GOTTA be something that’s sticking to the yoyo. ---

Not familiar with the Galaxy blast but I’d say it was strictly based on the media used. ILYY and their finish. ---
