Stupid hook will be the death of me so any tricks that will help/lead to landing it would be great!!! ---

Can you do lacerations? If you can that’s great, you’re halfway there. It’s just like a laceration, but you have to whip the string in between the yoyo and your body and with a bit more vigour. When looking down on the yoyo and string, the string should make a U shape on its side. Make sure your string is under neutral torsion and try to pop the yoyo to your solar plexus level, I find that works for me. Hope that helps to some degrees ---

I originally learned Hooks by attaching a string to a doorknob. Not the yoyo lol an actual doorknob. ---

No worries! Took me a while to get it but once you do it’s sooo satisfying. Word of warning though, when you get it you’ll find hitting lacerations need a bit more thought because you train to not hit hit them for a hook!
