Currently reliving Pokémon fire red and leaf green through my son’s eyes. Had got him and my daughter game boy advanced fir Christmas and my son has attached himself to those games recently so we are competing for who has the better team and eventually I’ll pull out the transfer cord for a battle or trades. Got to eventually get another game boy advanced at some point so I have one too and not just steal the one my daughter was given. She’s less interested but when she gets interested I share so my game is also a 4 year olds game Also Minecraft. My adhd son is obsessed with Minecraft hard so if it’s not Pokémon we are building something . Children apparently crave the mines. ---

Been playing some new demos showcased in the [Steam Next Fest](https://store.steampowered.com/sale/nextfest). There’s some promising titles. I played these the most recent Replaced: Super excited for this one. > **[REPLACED on Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1663850/REPLACED/)** > > Expose the sinister secrets of Phoenix Corporation as R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped in a human body. Set in an alternate 1980s America scarred by nuclear catastrophe, navigate a dark cyberpunk thriller in this narrative-driven 2.5D platformer blending... Cthulhu: Has potential but some of the puzzles make me wonder if it’ll get exhausting after a while having to interact so much with your companion scanner system. > **[Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss on Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2760560/Cthulhu_The_Cosmic_Abyss/)** > > A mining station in the Pacific abyss is no longer responding. As an investigator of the occult, unravel the mysteries of the deep. Test your wits and sanity in this lovecraftian thriller. Uncanny tales: the watcher - Basically it’s like a spookums version of firewatch (_loved that game you should play it btw_) > **[Uncanny Tales: The Watcher on Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4217690/Uncanny_Tales_The_Watcher/)** > > 2006. You become the new reserve caretaker. Patrol the territory in your rugged 4x4, check the phototraps, and monitor the area using surveillance cameras. But remember: you are not the only one watching. Call of Dookie - I mean.. it’s hilarious. The trailer got me. > **[Call Of Dookie on Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2623680/Call_Of_Dookie/)** > > Imagine you went to the crapper, and emerged an hour later to a monster apocalypse! Retro first-person shooter action inspired by 90's classics! Old-school deathmatch & co-op! John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando demo This has been a lot of fun. It’s like Left 4 Dead and way better than back 4 blood. Definitely has potential. > **[John Carpenter's Toxic Commando on Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2157830/John_Carpenters_Toxic_Commando/)** > > Pick a character and team up with three friends ‘cause it’s time to save the world. Experience intense FPS action as you obliterate hordes of terrifying monsters! You may not be on the best team of mercenaries, but you are… a Toxic Commando! * * * Aside from those demos I finished the “super controversial” [HORSES](https://www.gog.com/en/game/horses). It wasn’t “_that_” shocking or bad really. Definitely 18+ and nsfw if you take the blurring off (lol) but I didn’t find it to be as jarring as all the hype was claiming it to be. It was pretty amusing at times. Maybe worth a play if it goes on sale for a buck or something. That is, if you’re into weird stuff and horror themes. Also been playing through Fallout New Vegas again. [Core Keeper](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1621690/Core_Keeper/) has been seeing some play as well. They just released a new update with some expanded content. ---
