Yup! Same here. Demo disc with that racing game with the yellow car on the cover. I’ll never forget zach’s line “zach-shilack and the ack ack pack! Win again!” ---

I’d say the game I play the most right now would be Darkest Dungeon, awesome “rogue-like” turn based game. Perfect for spooky season. It’s on PC, PS4, Switch, iPad, etc. I mainly play on my iPad because big screen and small text lol ---

May as well show off my dream desk setup. Coming together nice. At it’s core, it’s my PC desk but realistically, the PS1 is on more than my PC. My entire ps1/2/3/4 collection, at the ready at all times. Ps1/2 are on the CRT and ps3/4/PC share the monitor. This is where i’ve been for hours on end playing parasite eve with our 2 month old baby sleeping in my lap. Lol nothing else to do but watch him sleep so i’ve have that ps1 spinning alot lately. ![IMG_1893](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex015/uploads/yoyoexpert1/original/4X/b/2/1/b21f959219add2f04a64bab4b2d6776702354317.jpeg) ![IMG_1931](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex015/uploads/yoyoexpert1/original/4X/d/8/2/d82d7acfdb4f6da26eebda2592ab2501ed07d346.jpeg) ![IMG_1932](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex015/uploads/yoyoexpert1/original/4X/b/f/6/bf6ff5c29ad3f6b94918e913f7860b06f0c22fae.jpeg) ![IMG_1933](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex015/uploads/yoyoexpert1/original/4X/6/7/b/67b5ed0654bf62e21270da3963f74015a95fb2e0.jpeg) ---

This is awesome! Man, I wish I still had all my old games and systems. I sold everything to fund other habits or pay bills at the time. Now it’s just the PS4 and a laptop. Those first few months with a new kid really are prime time for gaming 😆 all they do is sleep. I was playing through Elden Ring and RDR2 when my youngest was that age. ---

I did a ton of selling and trading too, thus my attempt to rebuild my collection. But the systems, i’ve somehow managed to keep all my systems from when i was a kid, still running. Mostly. My ps2s need some work but i keep up on the ps1 maintenance. But this ps1 is THE ps1 i played as a kid. My dad installed a mod chip back in 1999 or 2000 that allowed us to copy and play burned disc. And that modchip still works to this day. I burned myself a copy of Silent hill last week. 🕶 ---

Chatting with Ty has reminded me that my 3 yo son and I have been playing some Genesis, mainly sonic 2 and vecktorman. He loves that stuff! Also I’ll set him up with all the auto-controls on Mario kart 8 and let him rip lol ---

My Dad has never had any Hobbies, and he never cared for video games. Though I have nothing against it, it always freaks me out to hear people mention playing video games with their Dad, my Dad never even entertained the idea. 🤣 ---

My dad never played video games ever. I’m 33 now so my dad is… 50 something. To this day, i have no idea how he even found out about the mod chip. I think he was just looking for a way to save money on games for me and my little sister. She’s barely a year younger than me so we grew up playing games together, not with my dad. Lol that is a crazy thought. Yeah, still blows my mind he found out how to mod a PS1 back in 1999. But he did. He was always good with soldering and stuff but to just up and modchip our console… Yeah my dad is awesome! ---

I’ve been playing DayZ lately, and I’ll admit, I’ve used some [dayz cheats](https://stealth-core.com/store/category/14-dayz-cheats/) in the past to see what it was like. It made the game more accessible but took away from the thrill of surviving in the apocalypse. Now, I stick to playing fair and enjoying the challenge. ---

Anyone ever play or heard if Racing Lagoon? Squaresoft racing RPG. It’s a love letter to 90’s JDM culture. I’m 20 hours in and LOVING it. You can do crazy engine/ drivetrain swaps and level them up, steal parts of the losers car and it’s open world in between racing, driving around downtown Yokohama. It’s amazing. Waaaaay ahead if it’s time. It’s the racing game i’ve always wanted and it came out in 1999. I’m blown away by it. ---
