# Let’s talk Cerakote!

Well against my better judgement I put a cerakote wizard on credit. I will regret nothing.
To add to the larger discussion, I love the extra density the coating seems to provide. My only reference is the Deep State, but the cerakote version is exactly what I wanted in the original, where the original anodization is great but the overall weight was just too light for me.

I think the Cerakote treatment on the Wyvern looks the absolute coolest of all that they’ve done so far, but I like the texture of the white Kamu the most, however prone to scratching it may be.

I think this has more to do with the rare finishes (and their value) than the Wyvern.

Ehm, has the Wizard dropped already :thinking: There hasn’t been a newsletter.
Edit: Just found out it actually dropped today and I missed it. Ah man, that’s lame. If you don’t use social media you are pretty much screwed these days, huh!? Doesn’t help either that sometimes there is a newsletter and other times there isn’t. Pretty much relying on those newsletters (since I signed up for them a long time ago).

The finish looks even MORE impressive in person, but the feel of said finish is like sandpaper compared to the white Kamuraiju’s… not sure why there’s such a big difference between the two. Also the Wyvern is just a super mid yoyo IMO. Bad feeling finish (even though it looks cool) + mid yoyo = BST time.

Does the cerakote make the yo-yo slightly heavier than regular anodizing? The only unique finish experience I have is with YoyoFriends’ moon rock finish. I have a shortcut with and without, and there’s a clear difference in weight between them.

Yeah just slightly. I got a green anodized as well as the IV Cerakote and they play basically the same, save the differences finish always makes like grind performance.
