Hmm :thinking: but given that Onedrop Cerakote Throws are very well established at this point let alone we‘re talking about the Diorama (with the Panorama one of the best selling throws in the last years) 40 units don’t seem very sufficient in the first place. No offense here towards Onedrop. I‘m just curious to know why that is because in my humble opinion they could have sold a hundred units of this gorgeous throw I assume :thinking:

Do you think that’s the reason? They split up a 80 unit run into two 40 unit runs with different colors? If that’s the case I‘m sure with all the (Cerakote) Collectors out there selling two 80 unit runs of a Diorama wouldn’t be a problem.

I suspect that the process of applying Cerakote is a bottleneck at the moment.

Isn’t the rarity part of the OD brand? Like the name is **One Drop**. The name implies scarcity like each release is one and done. Obviously not true but these cerakote releases have those vibes; I would love to know if the early OD yoyos were truly one and done, no rereleases. Unless they meant something else by naming the company what they did but I don’t know what else it would mean. Could be wrong and missing something obvious. I don’t know. Pano still a goated yoyo to me and I’m very tempted to try for that pink but I do find the consistently meager release numbers have slightly soured my opinion of the brand…maybe I’m just salty I was in a meeting when the orange dio drop happened…

I guess it depends on how “release” is defined. The numbers in a given batch may be small, but some OD models have been released multiple times over years and years.
I’d _guess_ that the practical implications of machining all of their own product dictates numbers rather than a desire to manufacture scarcity for marketing purposes.

One Drop always makes enough to go around eventually. And I don’t think the name is implying scarcity, it’s music related.
“One drop rhythm is a reggae style drum beat. Popularized by Carlton Barrett, long-time drummer of Bob Marley and the Wailers”

I was thinking about it more like a reference to the designers desire to constantly iterate on design ideas and improve like one iteration or run of a design and then onto the next project. In this case the scarcity would be an unfortunate side effect of that design style and not the intent but I really don’t know. This effect occurs with other products in a cycle like that but I guess they were referencing a drum beat? :thinking:

My cerakote fat tire came in today, and right out the box had what looks like scratches. Pretty sad to see. But truly a beautiful throw. Any way to remove the light scuffs?
