# Learning to bind

Currently I have a duncan metal drifter and am learning the basics.
I want to get a different throw and am looking at a markmont classic.
What would be a good reccomendation for strings to learn to bind with?
Open to all suggestions.

I really think that while some strings are easier to bind with than others, once you get the concept of what binding really feels like, any string works for a bind.
If you are just starting out, I would just suggest a standard poly string like regular Kitty string or YYE Expert strings.

So should I stay away from thicker strings?

I wouldn’t say stay away, just don’t think of it as the only option.
